Description:
T5.1: Establishment of the project structure: The co-ordinator will appoint an experienced project manager to manage the project. The manager will report to a steering committee, which will consist of a representative of each contractor plus three external experts including representatives from the user community. The steering committee will be elected at start-up. The three external experts will be invited from a list set up at start-up with candidates from relevant user groups such as EUROGOOS, IHO, and LOICZ. Their main function is to provide a continuous overall external reviewing of the project. The steering committee will be chaired by the co-ordinator. For each work package, a managing leader will be assigned and the project manager will keep a close contact with the WP leaders. The WP leaders will report to the project leader on regular basis to ensure a high overall level of progress monitoring and technical control.
