ESEAS RI Project team and Steering Committee meeting
The Environmental Agency of Republic of Slovenia (EARS) will host the meeting. It will take place at EARS, Vojkova 1b, Ljubljana.
A conference hall has a capacity of 35 or more participants.
Multimedia projector (PC, VHS), graph scope and additional PC with Internet connection, will be available. EARS staff will provide assistance during the meetings.
We propose accommodation in hotel Slon in the centre of Ljubljana. Hotel is within 1-2 km distance to EARS (20 minutes walk) and close to railway and bus station. The old city centre, historical sites, castle and cultural institutions are in walking distance. Taxis are available in front of hotel entrance.
The preliminary reservations for approximately 35 people were made by EARS, but it is necessary to confirm it until 17th of October. This should be done by participants themselves. For 10 % discount you should add a comment: »ESEAS meeting«.
After this date the hotel doesn't guarantee for spare facilities. But usually this time of year hotels are not fully occupied, and we don't expect problems to find a room.
The nearest airport is Brnik, about 26 km north of Ljubljana. It has fairly good connections to major airports in Europe.
Ljubljana has direct train connection to/from Vienna, Trieste, Zagreb and other destinations daily. The train station is near city centre.
The bus connection between Brnik and Ljubljana central bus station are frequent, on every hour on working days and every two hours on weekends. Bus terminal is just in front of the airport. Price of bus ticket is about 6 Euros.
Taxi can also be used to move from Brnik to Ljubljana. Price is about 30 Euro.
Hotel Slon is 1 km away from central bus station.
Taxi costs about 1 Euro.
City bus no. 2 and 9 can be used (exit at second station – name POŠTA).

At the evening EARS offers a dinner in a restaurant in Ljubljana.
Governing Board meeting
During the meeting we can offer free lunches at EARS restaurant (three different menus).
At the meeting breaks coffee, tea and cookies will be served in meeting hall.
There are some nice restaurants in the centre of Ljubljana. Dinner costs 10 to 20 Euros.
On Thursday evening EARS offers a dinner in a nice restaurant in Ljubljana.
