Information for the Project Team Meeting in Nottingham 15-16 May 2003

Colleagues that are not from the UK can fly here on Wednesday and then
fly from back on Saturday or Sunday as they wish.

To get to Nottingham you can either fly to our local airport, which is
East Midlands Airport, or to one of the London airports, eg Heathrow,
Luton, Stanstead or Gatwick. However, I would recommend that you try
to fly to East Midlands Airport if you can.

East Midlands Airport is only serviced by the low cost airlines,
BMIBaby, Go and EasyJet, for which you can get flights from Barcelona,
Paris, Amsterdam, etc. However, these have to be booked on-line with
the low cost airlines themselves. Details on East Midlands Airport are
given on http://www.eastmidlandsairport.com/ To get from East Midlands
airport to Nottingham you can take Trent and Barton Bus 5b, or the
Nottingham City bus Runway 5. Buses leave from outside the Airport
Arrivals hall and will take you to Nottingham city centre (about 10
miles away). You can also walk to the taxi rank on the terminal
forecourt and take a direct taxi. The cost of a single/one way journey
is approximately ?20. Taxis are normally available 24 hours.

If you choose to fly to the one of the London airports, you will have
to get train or bus connections from there to Nottingham. These will
also bring you to Nottingham city centre.

From the centre of Nottingham you should take a taxi to your hotel. I
would like to recommend/suggest that everyone stays at the Travel
Inn, from where we will be able to provide transport to/from the
University on both working days. Details are
